Project Activites
Our Activities:
Participatory Civic Pathways Think Tanks
The project initiates a series of localized participatory think tanks involving young people particularly those with fewer opportunities and youth workers. These activities are designed to co-create inclusive civic education content, ensuring that the project reflects the real needs, experiences, and perspectives of its target groups. This participatory process strengthens ownership, relevance, and inclusivity across all project outputs.
Development of the KEY-YOU Theoretical Framework
Building on the outcomes of the think tanks, the project develops a comprehensive theoretical framework that translates key European Youth Goals into structured, game-based learning mechanics. This framework serves as the conceptual foundation for the design of all educational tools and ensures coherence, methodological rigor, and alignment with civic education objectives.
Design and Development of the Digital Escape Room
A central activity of the project is the creation of a digital civic-education escape room. This interactive tool incorporates multiple narrative scenarios and problem-solving challenges that simulate real-life civic and political decision-making processes at both local and European levels. The escape room provides an immersive, experiential learning environment that enhances understanding through active engagement.
Development of Supporting Educational Tools
To complement the digital experience, the project develops a set of supporting resources, including boardable flashcards, a facilitator guide, and an EU decision-making map. These tools are designed to reinforce learning outcomes, support youth workers in implementation, and ensure adaptability across different educational and training contexts.
Research and Civic Literacy Mapping
The project conducts research activities, including the development of a database and tracing survey, to assess civic literacy levels among participants. This evidence-based approach informs the design and refinement of project outputs, ensuring their relevance, effectiveness, and responsiveness to identified needs.
Learning, Training, and Testing Laboratories
A series of training and testing laboratories are implemented to pilot the developed tools with both young people and youth workers. These activities facilitate practical application, evaluation, and iterative improvement, while simultaneously strengthening participants’ competencies in civic engagement and non-formal education methodologies.
Dissemination and Sustainability Actions
The project implements a comprehensive dissemination strategy, including local demo events, digital communication activities, and the development of an online platform. These actions ensure the visibility, accessibility, and long-term sustainability of the project results, promoting their uptake by a wider audience across Europe.
